About the CD:
Hamza al-Din, master of the Oud, starts the program with a beautiful song. His musical rhythm brings peace and harmony to the hearts and soul of the listeners.

Dr. Hatem Bazian discusses the proposition made by some Western scholars that Islam and the West are in a "clash of civilizations". Comparing differen facets of Islamic and Western values, he shows the audience that Islam is more congruent with Western values than not.

Dr. Umar Faruq Abd-Allah's speech is titled "Islam in the context of World Peace". He argues that in order to achieve world peace and fruitful coexistence, we must, as conscientious human beings, come to a mutual understanding amongst ourselves. Tackling the issues of terrorism in Islam and American foreign policy, Dr. Abd-Allah asks us to consider our history in order to understand our present situation so that we can arrive at this mutual understanding.

Sister Amina Jandali looks at the role of women in Islam in its early days and how the elevated status they were given at the time, nothing short of revolutionary. She asks her listeners to not look at the culture-traditions of recent history, but to the pure traditions of Islam that will lead to balanced rights for women.
